Architect and designer Monica Armani began her professional career with her father Marcello Armani, a rationalist architect.
In 1996 she created a brilliant self-production experience, progetto 1, which met with great success. In 2005, the project was produced by B&B Italia, and since then she has been designing for the best-known companies in the sector, both in Italy and abroad, including B&B Italia, Luceplan, Tribù, Snaidero, Molteni&C, Gallotti&Radice, Starpool, Schoenhuber Franchi, Poliform, Studio TK, Punt, GlasItalia and Viccarbe.
The team at the Studio take great care over every single detail, and in addition to simply designing the objects, they propose a range of purposes and uses for them, introducing new techniques and materials and in some cases, following the entire process of development, with a total design service approach.
The combination of rigorous design, innovation and engineering gives rise to a unique and unmistakable style recognisable in every piece. This is a constant and consistent quality running through the work of the Studio in all aspects of architecture, industrial design and interior decoration, from conception to design, art direction and corporate identity.
Following in the footsteps of the great masters, Studio Monica Armani has chosen to devote its attention to contemporary architecture, retaining it to be a concrete and considered response to today’s need for sustainability. Examples include The Lounge, created for Poltrona Frau Group and the Casa Corriere building presented at Expo Milano 2015 for RCS MediaGroup.
