Diatom at the Zow Edelkoort Exhibition

ZOW is the exclusive and concentrated trading platform for national and international suppliers to the furniture industry and interior design that takes place every year during the Bad Salzuflen fair in Germany, during which new products, materials and production processes are showed to the audience.
This year Moroso took part in this important event by presenting Ross Lovegrove’s Diatom armchair at the ZOW trend_works exhibition curated by Lidewij Edelkoort, one of the most influential figures in the search for new trends, that will be open on February 9-12 in Bad Salzuflen and on March 19-22 in Istanbul. Lidewij Edelkoort wanted to investigate the multi-faceted theme of living and lifestyle, by searching for new products and trends presented at the world’s most influential fair, to give an insight of the design future.
The Diatom armchair was chosen to incarnates an innovative working concept of materials and shapes, given that its production adopts a technology expressly developed for the automotive sector that reduces the weights and production costs of seats using die-cast aluminum sheet instead of steel to ensure the lowest possible weight at equal performance levels.
