From fiber to product: the exciting journey of a textile – Dubai

On February 25, 2025, in collaboration with Kvadrat and Lever, a new edition of our “From Fiber to Product” Workshop took place.

The event welcomed renowned designers and architects, invited to challenge themselves by customizing a miniature version of one of the seats from the Pebble Rubble system, designed by Swedish designers Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren of Front Design.
This seating system, inspired by the natural shapes of stones smoothed by the elements, embodies a design that goes beyond aesthetics and functionality, evoking a deep connection with nature.

Participants worked with a selection of Kvadrat fabrics, creating unique and innovative interpretations of the miniature seats. A prestigious jury, composed of Agata Kurzela, founder of Agata Kurzela Studio, and Rue Kothari, founder of Designeast, evaluated the projects and selected the winners of the Dubai edition.

The Workshop was an extraordinary opportunity to explore the expressive potential of Kvadrat fabrics and to celebrate creativity in furniture design.
