From fiber to product: the exciting journey of a textile – Frankfurt
The workshop, organized in collaboration with Kvadrat and carried out for the first time in 2016, in all these years has touched several cities: London, Stockholm, Dubai, Singapore and Zurich, to name but a few.
On 20 October, the new edition in Germany was staged at the Morgen Interiors headquarters. During the event, a prestigious jury decreed the winner among the designers and architects selected from the most important Frankfurt studios. The jury for this edition was composed of Alfredo Häberli, designer, and Thomas Tritsch, the owner of Morgen Interiors and Petra Schmidt, consultant and design journalist.
Participants challenged each other to upholster the miniature version of the Taba sofa, designed by Alfredo Häberli for Moroso, which plays with the superimposition of different organic lines and with the softness of asymmetrical shapes to create a seat that favors interaction between people. The architects created their own customized version of the Taba small sofa in miniature using the wide range of Kvadrat fabrics: the creativity that the jury declared as the best was rewarded with a trip to the Moroso factory and showroom in Italy.
