Moroso and Benjamin Hubert at Design Shanghai
Moroso is exhibiting again this year at Design Shanghai. Asia’s premier design event takes place from March 8 to 11 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. The fair has become an important event for the Asian furniture industry and a showcase for the world’s finest design firms.
Moroso’s stand, designed by Studio Marco Viola, features residential-style living areas which hint at domestic spaces and evoke the everyday. Gracing the space are designer Patricia Urquiola’s Shanghai Tip and Redondo sofas and David Adjaye’s Double Zero armchairs. Tord Boontje’s Oval Table also holds court as well as Juju, a small armchair created by Edward van Vliet, and Take a Line for a Walk, a larger chair designed by Alfredo Häberli. Moroso’s project M’Afrique makes an encore appearance with Tord Boontje’s Shadowy, a curvy chaise lounge, and the colorful small tables in Sebastian Herkner’s Banjooli collection. Adding a finishing touch to the space are Benjamin Hubert’s small Net tables.
The English designer is also attending Design Shanghai to accept the “Ideat Home Best Furniture Design” Award for his Talma chair. The piece, created for Moroso, won in the best furniture design category.
