Moroso announces the names of the 12 finalists and 5 judges for the 4th Edition of the Moroso Concept for Contemporary Art to be held in 2015.
The names of the 12 finalists are the result of the discussion amongst the jury, which is composed of Andrea Bruciati, independent curator; Patrizia Moroso, Moroso’s art director and Marina Abramović, internationally famous artist and special host of this event. The young artists selected for this year edition are: Alessandro Agudio, Alis / Filliol, Alice Cattaneo, Giulia Cenci, Cristian Chironi, Giulio Delvé, Domenico Mangano, Andrea Nacciarriti, Andrea Romano, Marinella Senatore, Namsal Siedlecki, Carlo Gabriele Tribbioli. These artists will be asked to make a versatile work conceived specifically for Moroso venues. Then the 12 projects will be presented at a major exhibition held from 28th March to 24th May 2015, in the beautiful setting of Villa Manin in Passariano (Udine).
During this last phase, a second jury will select, among the 12 finalists, three artists who will be offered the opportunity of producing their site-specific work in Moroso’s New York, London and Milan showrooms starting from 2016.
The panel of experts for this 4th Edition features illustrious names in architecture, design, and art: Carlo Bach, Art Director at Illy; Gianluigi Ricuperati, Creative Director at Domus Academy; Patricia Urquiola, Designer; Daniel Libeskind, Architect and Anna Mattirolo, Director of MAXXI Arte. Following the analysis of the projects, they will be the ones to select the names of the three winners of the 2015 Moroso Concept for Contemporary Art, that will be officially announced on the exhibition’s opening day at Villa Manin.
