New premises for Moroso in Amsterdam
Moroso is giving its presence in Amsterdam a twist and on Friday 28 September will be inaugurating its new 300 sq m store at 94, Cruquiusweg. The company therefore will be moving from number 109 to 94, confirming its position in the eastern part of the capital of the Netherlands.
The new space – designed by art director Patrizia Moroso and the Company’s creative team – extends over two floors.
On the ground floor, which features a large full-height shop window, there will be a variety of living rooms on display fitted and furnished with the latest products from the last Milan Furniture Fair, such as the Chamfer and Gentry Extra Light sofas by Patricia Urquiola, along with historic iconic pieces such as the M.a.s.s.a.s sofa system and Fjord seating collection, again by the Spanish designer.
The display areas will be completed and embellished with rugs from Golran Carpet Reloaded, an exclusive collection of unique pieces which brings together carpets from the first half of the 20th century and gives them an amazing new look. To make the space feel even more warm and cosy, curtains in Kvadrat fabrics have been added, which interact with the furnishings and setting to create an evocative backdrop.
The second floor has been fitted out in a more rocker style, to house and form a background to the Diesel Living with Moroso collection. Amongst the items selected for the inaugural displays, you’ll be able to take a seat on the soft Nebula sofa or try out the more novel Iron Maiden seat.
